Kempes played for Umeme FC Senior team at the age of 14, Luo Union Gor Mahia at the age of 17, and the National team at the age of 18. Before Umeme FC, he played for Olympic Youth Center, an academy program headed by a Germany coach by name Bernard Zigoll.
Sammy Owino while playing for Gor Mahia FC and the National team, won Eastern Central club championship twice and reached the finals of African Cup Winnors cup with Gor Mahia FC and The senior Challenge Eastern Central cup with the National Team.
His fooball academy AYSES Soccer Club based in the US in Texas was ranked the number one top academy. He is also former owner of Texas Loining football club, a professional club in the United States Inter-regional Soccer League(USISL). He has also accounted for and managed successful regional tournaments. Beyond that he owns and has developed multiple soccer complexes.
Sammy has lots of experience in areas needed in footbal in this Nation. We need change in football not rhetorics to build and change football in Kenya. Not to forget he played for the National team for a short period before flying off.
He knows the problem of players for he was once one and understands the challenges of small or young clubs for that is where he started. Sammy brings lots of experience in football governance and to me this is the most qualified person to take the seat. We need change in football not rhetorics to build and change football in Kenya. Not to forget he played for the National team Harambee stars for a short period before flying off.
If we want a change in football then this is the man to do it for us. A player who has seen it all. Sammy Owino aka Kempes is the man. Yours truly is fully behind your candidature and will support you throughout this exercise. There is no any other person who can do it better. Good morning
